Chris Gostling is a retired teacher, passionate about education, passionate about community. She has worked in secondary schools throughout her career and finished her career in Shoebury High School where she still invigilates exams on a regular basis.

Working in the voluntary sector is something she enjoys very much and allows her to give something back to the community that made her so welcome. She has worked at HUB151 for about 3 years. Chris co-ordinates the groups and projects operating in the hub and makes sure that the hub is a great space in which to work.

She works on the garden project along with John Loveday and cannot wait for the day when people come back to the hub and work alongside them.

We are delighted to have Carolyn Warner heading up our Sewing Projects. Carolyn started the Red Hot Stitchers as a sustainable sewing group project in association with Boomerang Bags in Shoeburyness, Essex. Carolyn hosts many of her sewing groups here at Hub 151.

Durning the first lockdown, Carolyn and the team were kept busy sewing face masks and scrubs for the NHS in response to the unprecedented demand for PPE.

Eddie Edwards is a retired engineer. Having been director of his own company, he is aware of what is involved in running a project such as HUB 151 and has been a huge asset since joining us last year.

Eddie has been instrumental in setting up the wood turning project amongst other things which will be very popular with our wonderful residents.

He is committed to working together with the team to make a success of HUB 151.
